This Women’s History Month, we are celebrating women at work.
From March 8 to March 31, we will donate 20% of every product sold on contourdesign.com to the nonprofit organization Working for Women.
Working for Women helps women gain financial independence through training, education, and employment opportunities, while advocating for the removal of barriers that prevent women from advancing in the workforce.
When women gain access to opportunity and financial security, the impact reaches far beyond the individual - strengthening businesses, communities, and the broader economy.
Every purchase during this period contributes directly to those programs.

Women are 3× more likely to develop carpal tunnel
Supporting women at work means more than creating opportunities.
It also means creating tools that help people stay healthy, productive, and comfortable throughout their careers.
Unfortunately, ergonomics research has highlighted an important reality for years: Women are 3 times more likely to develop carpal tunnel syndrome than men (CDC National Health Interview Survey).
Biology plays a role, but design can also amplify the problem. When tools don’t fit the person using them, small mismatches repeated thousands of times a day can turn into chronic strain.
In traditional computer setups, the mouse sits to the side of the keyboard. The arm reaches outward, the shoulder rotates to compensate, and that movement travels down the arm - often forcing the wrist into as trained position for hours at a time.
Over time, this position can place pressure on the wrist and contribute to injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, which leads to millions of lost workdays and billions in healthcare and productivity costs each year.
Designing for everybody - and every body
For decades, many workplace tools were designed around a single “average” user. But that standard user was rarely a woman.
Women’s hands are statistically smaller on average, and their reach is often shorter. Yet many computer tools have historically been designed around a male average, overlooking the diversity of people who rely on workplace technology every day.
At Contour, we believe work tools should adapt to people - not the other way around.
That belief has shaped our ergonomic designs from the start.
Our products are developed through extensive ergonomic research and testing with real users: different hand sizes, different reach distances, and different ways of working.

Every purchase contributes
Throughout the campaign period, every order placed through our website contributes directly to this initiative.
There is no minimum spend and no selected products. Every purchase helps support Working for Women and the programs they provide.
Donation terms
From March 8 through March 31, 2026, Contour Design will donate 20% of the purchase price of products sold on contourdesign.com to Working for Women.
The donation amount is calculated based on the purchase price excluding taxes, shipping, discounts, and returns.
Working for Women is a nonprofit organization supporting women from underserved communities in achieving financial independence.
There is no maximum donation.
Donations will be paid to Working for Women within three months after the campaign concludes.
Eligibility: Offer valid only for purchases made on contourdesign.com during the campaign period.
Returns: Returned products will not be included in the donation calculation.
