COPENHAGEN, Denmark - March 2, 2026
Contour Design, a global leader in ergonomic computer accessories, today announced that Contour Touch is a Winner of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026, one of the world’s most recognized design competitions.
In 2026, the iF DESIGN AWARD received over 10,000 submissions from 68 countries. Winners are selected by an independent jury of 129 international design and sustainability experts through a rigorous, transparent evaluation process.
Contour Touch was developed by Contour Design in Copenhagen in collaboration with Now Studio (San Francisco). Designed for desktop workstations, the product places navigation centrally beneath the keyboard to help reduce repetitive reaching and support a more neutral upper-body posture during everyday computer work.
“Contour Touch started with a simple question: why should your hand leave the keyboard zone hundreds of times a day just to navigate?” said Greg Dizac, Chief Product Officer, Contour Design. “This award recognizes our commitment to design that’s practical, intuitive, and built around how people actually work.”

The design of Contour Touch
Contour Touch combines a centrally positioned glass touch surface with a cushioned wrist rest so users can move between typing and navigation without shifting out of a neutral working position. Familiar multi-touch gestures keep the experience intuitive while supporting a more centered setup.

Designed to reduce reaching and support healthier computer work
Repetitive movements and prolonged non-neutral postures are widely recognized risk factors associated with work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) (EU-OSHA, Work-related musculoskeletal disorders, 2019). Contour Touch is designed to help address one common contributor in computer work: frequent reaching to the side for mouse-based navigation.
In an internal comparative test versus a traditional mouse (Contour Design Ergo Lab, 2026), Contour Touch showed measurable improvements in shoulder posture during navigation, including 64% lower shoulder abduction and 44° less shoulder rotation (White paper available upon request).
Contour Touch is available in US, Canada and Europe via our website, Amazon, and authorized resellers. It expands Contour Design’s portfolio of centered input solutions and is designed to work seamlessly with Balance Full-Size Keyboard and other ergonomic workstation products.
