Senior National Key Account Manager
Introduction
The Senior National Key Account Manager is responsible for managing, achieving, and maximizing sales goals of the Active Key Health product segment within the US sales division in addition to cultivating new channel relationships. The position would be involved in several sectors with focus on healthcare & medical channels, as well as Resellers, Distribution, Government, and National Accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Contour’s major national sales accounts for the Active Key product line, with a strong focus on business development, optimization, and growth
- Strategic account planning, strengthening customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and work cross-functionally to maximize sales performance and long-term partnership value
- Generate leads and prospect new business as well as create new opportunities with existing and new clients
- Utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate the value of Contour’s product portfolio of keyboards and mice
- Collaborate with established partners to offer solutions to the medical community
- Work with value-added resellers to promote the Active Key line to create a sustainable run rate business
- Evaluate metrics within the category and collaborate with Supply Chain to adjust inventory appropriately based on forecasts
- Collaborate with clients and determine their needs specific to the usage of products
- Monthly sales reporting to support business reviews with key accounts/channels
- Utilize Salesforce to track opportunities within the account base
- Serve as the point of contact within the medical segment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of sales experience within the medical/ergonomic channel, focusing on computer input devices through reseller channels, system integrators, buying groups, and/or end user accounts
- Strong salesperson with the ability to close projects even over long sales cycles
- Having established relationships with accounts, distributors, and resellers focused on the medical channel.
- Proven project and time management abilities
- Broad knowledge of discipline, such as national sales, distribution channels, and customer service initiatives supporting the medical customer base
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to create key account strategic plans
- Ability to work in an intercultural environment with international colleagues
- Ability to influence and engage personnel and management at multiple levels within internal and external organizations
- Willingness to represent Contour Design Active Key US at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings, with the ability to travel up to 50% as required.
- Superior interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills
