Roller Bar

Use

End detection

Due to varying monitor sizes, the cursor sometimes hits an invisible wall. Moving the bar will activate a switch that moves the cursor in the direction you desire. This is similar to picking up a mouse and placing it in the center of your workable area.

Click tension adjustments

Dial on bottom will adjust tension of Roller Bar click force: small dot requires least amount of pressure to click, large dot requires most amount of pressure to click.

Buttons

Use

The default settings are:

  • Left button: standard single click
  • Middle button: double click
  • Right button: right click (contextual menus)
  • Scroll wheel: roll it for scrolling, press it to perform middle mouse button events(*) (it usually enables the Auto Scroll function)

(*) the system recognizes as the middle button on a 3-buttons mouse the button under the scroll wheel (clicked wheel), not the middle gray button.

Programming the buttons

The RollerMouse buttons can be programmed through the RollerMouse software driver, after setting the dip switch located under the RollerMouse in the UP position (Advanced mode).

  • Bar click: standard single click
  • Left button: fourth click (*)
  • Middle button: right click (contextual menus)
  • Right button: fifth click (*)
  • Scroll wheel button (activated by pressing the scroll wheel): middle click (*)

(*) the computer response associated to middle clicks, fourth clicks and fifth clicks depends on the application.

Please refer to the downloads section for details on how to install the software driver and program the buttons.

Auxiliary input devices

An auxiliary PS2 port is built into the right side of the RollerMouse. This port can be used for additional input devices such as a Perfit Mouse mouse.

This auxiliary PS2 port is "hot-pluggable" (the PS2 mouse can be plugged and unplugged while the system is turned on).

Complementary settings

Adjust the Roller Bar sensitivity through Start / Settings / Control Panel / Mouse Properties as you would do for any other mouse cursor.
