Step 2

These drivers are not designed to work with the RollerMouse PRO. If you are seeking RollerMouse PRO drivers, please go here.

If you are not sure if you have a PRO or a Classic model, click here.

RollerMouse Classic revisions 1.x

Windows

  • Windows 98, Me, 2000 and XP - No driver required.

  • Windows 95 and NT - a driver is provided to enable scroll wheel support only. Please be sure to read "RollerMouse-Readme.TXT" before installing the driver.

Important Note: None of the button definition features should be used to define RollerMouse buttons, you should ONLY use the dip switches under the RollerMouse for that purpose.

To download the Win95 or NT drivers below, click on the link and save the file to your desktop. After the download completes, double-click on the file (on your desktop). This will self-extract to a folder on your hard drive called: c:\contour and should open that folder for you. Double-click on the file"RollerMouse-Readme.TXT" to view the installation instructions.

Windows 95 - rm95.2.04.0213.exe 577KB

Windows NT - rmnt205.exe 420KB

Macintosh

  • Mac OS X - No driver required.
Note: if you find the cursor's speed too slow, you may download our Contour Mouse Driver from here. Use this driver ONLY to set the cursor's speed, NOT to define any of the buttons.
  • Mac OS 8.6-9.x - Due to Apple operating systems not directly supporting scroll wheels, you must have a driver to use the scroll wheel. Click here to download our Contour Overdrive. This driver should only be used to enable the Scroll Wheel support and not used to define any of the buttons.

Linux Systems

  • No driver required.

(Thanks to Eric S. for his tips)

    Identifier "Mouse0"
    Driver "mouse"
    Option "Protocol" "imPS/2"
    Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"

    EndSection
