By clicking the "Download
the driver now" option at the bottom of the page, you
will download a file named perf205n.exe, which
is the driver for the PS2 Perfit Mouse. Please
review the installation instructions
PRIOR
to installation.

Instructions

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
To update an existing Contour Mouse driver set, follow the
instructions for a first time install. Removing the existing
driver is not necessary.
Other mouse software
may interfere with installation or use of the Contour Mouse
driver; please remove them before installing
the Contour Mouse driver:
- From the Start menu, select
Settings, Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs.
- Select any mouse software
that appears on the list.
- Click Add/Remove to remove
the mouse software.
- Restart Windows and confirm
that only the standard Mouse Properties pages are present
(Buttons, Pointers, Motion and Hardware). If other pages
remain, check your existing mouse documentation for removal
instructions.

DRIVER INSTALLATION
Shut down your system and
connect the Contour Mouse to the round PS/2 mouse port before
installing the driver.
Installing the driver set
requires system-adminstrator security privileges on Windows
2000 and XP. When you are ready to proceed:
- Download the file perf205n.exe.
- Save it on your Desktop
- Double-click on the icon
on your Desktop.
- The file is self-extracting;
it will unpack into the c:\Contour Perfit Mouse directory.
- Run Setup
- Follow the prompts to install
the driver. After Setup finishes, it will restart Windows
with the new driver.
Notes:
- The same driver supports
all sizes of both left handed and right handed Contour
Mouse models. To change the Buttons page graphics
to match your mouse, double-click the Left.Reg or Right.Reg
file on the driver disk. (These files are also copied
to the installation directory on your hard drive, usually
C:\WINNT\Contour). The change will take effect the next
time you open Mouse Properties.
- To check the Contour Mouse
driver version, right click the tray icon and select
About Mouse.
3.
PROGRAMMING THE MIDDLE BUTTON FOR DOUBLE CLICK
- Double-click the mouse
icon in the taskbar tray to open Mouse Properties.
- Select
the Assignments Tab.
- Under
Categories select Buttons, which will change the Commands
box selections.
- Select
the PrimaryDoubleClick.
- Click
in the box that says "Press new key/button shortcut"
so that the cursor is flashing in the box.
- Click
the middle button once. The window will change and it
should now say "Auxillary Button".
- Click
Assign that has now lit up and you are done.
- When you are satisfied
with your settings, click OK to close Mouse Properties.
Note:
You can also assign button shortcuts so you can setup shortcuts
with this driver. From Step 5 you can hit "Shift",
"Control", or "Alt" plus the keys to
assign multiple configurations.
